The True Meaning of Christmas– The Lost Meaning

We tend to forget what the true meaning of Christmas is about. Of course that is the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Christmas is a holy day that we, as christians, had begin to celebrate in honor of the the day that our god had been born. Unfortunately people are beginning to forget that this is what Christmas is really about. They tend to get to wrapped up in the money and gift giving, more or so then spending time with their loved ones and with Jesus.

Yes, the presents and the idea of “santa clause” are very fun and an ideal picture of what comes to our mind when someone says Christmas. But as we grow older we start to realize that that idea isn’t as important as it once was. The reason this is, is because we all have begun to mature as human beings. We all begin to start appreciating what we have and what we get a lot more than we did when we were younger. We all are able to hold onto that true meaning of Christmas a little more and embrace it as much as we would like.

Christmas for me is always the same. We wake up on Christmas Eve and get ready to go to some family party’s. After, we will all go to church together, to celebrate the lord’s birth. After this, we go home and go to sleep. My little siblings are always so excited because they always have the hopes that Santa is coming. Christmas morning has arrived, my family and I always wait until everyone is up before we go downstairs and make breakfast and open presents. After this, we will go to church again (usually with other side of the family). Then, we spend the rest of the day with each other having fun and celebrating the true meaning of Christmas.
