Get in the Game…Save the Shoes (10/4/19)

TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is a global set of conferences owned by a private non-profit organization. The conferences are designed as a series of talks that address a wide range of topics within the research and practice of science and culture, often through storytelling. The speakers are given a maximum of 18 minutes to present their ideas in the most innovative and engaging ways they can. ~Wikipedia

As a teacher, I have been a fan of TED talks for several years.  I find them to be, at times, witty, engaging, inspiring but always thought provoking.  A student sent to me the video we are viewing today.  Its message is powerful as the speaker weaves a story using equal parts humor and humility that culminate in the idea that no good deed is too small.  It all matters…grace, kindness, integrity…every day.

Are you ready to be the person you want to be–today, right now?  Are you ready to live a life where you don’t pass on doing something kind or gracious simply because you think it will go unnoticed?  And, if the act of kindness does go unnoticed, does it really matter?  You have the power, every day, to act with grace, kindness, and integrity.  So…what are you waiting for?
